Softball fan’s dream comes true at game against Bethel University

The sun shined down on the freshly-cut grass, fans filled the stands and tension hung in the air. Union’s softball team faced off against Bethel University March 26.

Bubba Wade, 28, of Memphis, sat behind home plate with a huge smile on his face. This was the first game this season he was able see the Lady Bulldogs play live. He was beaming with excitement because softball ranks among his favorite sports. In between the games he got to see the catcher, who came up and gave him a Union bag that he now keeps on the back of his wheelchair. […]

Intervarsity coordinator addresses God’s design for sexuality

During the Heart of Sexuality event March 29, the keynote speaker encouraged attendees to recognize that sex is designed by God and is intended to be both pleasurable and beneficial, a preview of an ultimate union with Christ.

“He put this intensely powerful sexual drive into each of us so that we would be restless alone — that it would keep us from isolating ourselves from humanity,” said Sharon Gartland, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship national coordinator for Women in the Academy and Professions.
