Nashville bands ELEL and KiND performed at Union’s Barefoots Joe on Saturday, May 2.

The five member band, KiND, have been performing together for six years after meeting at Belmont University in Nashville, TN.

KiND described their sound as “electro art pop.” Or as one band member put it, “fun, fun and super fun.”

“We love music that is fun and that you can dance to but thats also jazzy,” said Robert Gay, a member of the band.

When asked about the culture and how they felt about the energy of the concert, they had nothing but good things to say.

“The crowd was super fun. They were dancing even before the show started which was exciting,” Gay said.

Following KiND was the band ELEL.

ELEL has been performing together for two years now and met in Nashville after college.

The band members interacted with the fans after the show by signing autographs, taking pictures, and dancing with them on the floor.

When asked if they thought the show was a success, ELEL member Ben Elkins thought it was.

“If we see that the song is resonating with even one person, then the show was a success. We saw it resonating with everyone there. It was awesome” Elkins said.

The seven person band was invited back onto stage with an encore after their set. According to Elkins, they really were not expecting it. He said it took them by surprise but it was so awesome that it happened.

ELEL’s full album should be expected to release in September and you can find them on their website. You can find Kind on Facebook.
