Located just outside of Jackson, the Tennessee Safari Park is a walk-thru and drive-thru petting zoo. Buffaloes, deer, llamas, kangaroos, ostriches, camels and a giraffe are just a few of the animals on the property that are available to pet and feed. // 618 Conley Road, Alamo, Tennessee

Woodstock Bake Shop is a family-owned bakery with a groovy 1960s vibe. From the quirky cupcakes and pastries to the classic lunch specials, Woodstock has something for everyone. // 80-C Innsdale Cove

The award-winning West Tennessee Farmers Market is the place for all things local. Vendors offer fresh fruits and vegetables, handmade art, jewelry, soaps and candles, flowers, kettle corn, doughnuts, milk and raw juice. // 91 New Market St.

Jackson has its fair share of Mexican restaurants, but Tulum Fresh Mexican Grill is a bit different. Tulum combines “the lush flavors and tropical feeling of Cancun, Cabo San Lucas and a big dose of San Diego.” All of the ingredients are fresh, and who doesn’t love a good salsa bar? // 71 Carriage House Drive

Sky Zone is an indoor trampoline park. They offer trampoline dodgeball, volleyball, basketball and a foam pit. SkyRobics classes provide an alternative to spending time in the gym. An hour of jumping is a unique way to spend an afternoon with a group of friends or to relieve stress during exams. // 65 East Park Square

ComeUnity Café was established downtown last year. It is a nonprofit organization that serves fresh, organic and locally sourced food. The menu changes daily and typically so does the staff. ComeUnity offers meals to volunteers who may not be able to afford nutritious food otherwise as well as a pay what you can system. Lunch is served Monday through Friday, and Saturday’s brunch is always a treat. // 218 E. Main St.
