Union University’s Delta Psi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta received the organization’s Best Chapter Award for the twelfth consecutive year.

The award came with a $250 grant that will purchase books for the Emma Waters Summar library.

Each year, the national organization presents the award to a chapter that goes above and beyond in promoting the mission of the honor society on the local level.

According to the Phi Alpha Theta website, decisions are made based on a digital scrapbook compiled by the local chapter and a letter from the chapter advisor. Stephen Carls, department chair of history, is Union’s Delta Psi Chapter’s faculty advisor.
