Chick-fil-A coming to Union next semester

National restaurant franchise Chick-fil-A is coming to Union University in the spring semester, said university president Samuel W. “Dub” Oliver.

Rumors have abounded over the past several months regarding changes in campus dining, and Oliver said this is a process that has been in the works for a while. In the past, students have been able to purchase Chick-fil-A sandwiches at the Lexington Inn on certain days, but this spring, Chick-fil-A will open a full franchise restaurant in the location of the Lexington Inn. Aramark Corporation will serve as the franchisee and will operate the restaurant.

The new restaurant will likely result in changes to the meal plan, but they are changes that students will be happy with, Oliver said.
