The Union community remembered the events of Sept. 11, 2001, with a memorial service 10 years later, on Sept. 12.  The service was held in the lawn between the Blasingame Academic Complex and the chapel, where the community gathered a year after the attacks to plant the now towering willow tree under which Dr. David S. Dockery, university president, spoke.
